    There are many things to do in Mystic. Go kayaking along the Mystic River or catch a free summer concert at Mystic River Park. Stay a while at one of four charming New England inns. Visit the Mystic Museum of Art, or the Mystic Aquarium, or the Mystic Seaport. There is always something to do in Mystic.

    Local sailing cruises are available on the Argia, a traditional sailing ship. Short day tours and longer evening cruises depart Mystic Seaport on the 1908 steamer Sabino.

    The Hamptons consists of a chain of seaside subdivisions in the towns of Southampton and East Hampton, and they in turn form the South Fork of Long Island, New York. This popular seaside resort is one of the historical summer colonies of the American Northeast. Some of the most expensive homes in the country can be found here. Residents include many of New York City’s and surrounding states’ most affluent, and real estate prices in the Hamptons rank among the highest anywhere.

    You’ll find high-end restaurants, bars and designer boutiques in East Hampton. The LongHouse Reserve Sculpture Garden, featuring the works of Willem de Kooning and Dale Chihuly, is also in East Hampton. Sag Harbor has the Sag Harbor Whaling and Historical Museum. Montauk Highway, with its wineries and farm stands, is the region’s main artery. Its eastern terminus is Montauk, a popular spot for surfing and fishing. You’ll also find many seafood shacks and an iconic lighthouse here.

    During the warm, summer months, the weekends are always busy here. This is when thousands leave NYC and pour into the Hamptons. The Golf Classic, Art Southampton, the Hampton Classic Horse Race and East Hampton Library’s Authors Night take place during this time.


    The Hamptons is home to a number of communities devoted to agriculture and fishing. Many farms still operate in the area and there are three commercial vineyards operating in the Hamptons as well.

    Pop culture showcases the Hamptons and the Hamptons society are often featured on-screen in films and on television, with wealth and extravagance as the prominent theme.

    If you are hungry, stop for a leisurely meal at the Pier Shops at Caesar.  An upscale shopping spot, the Pier Shops at Caesars is a windowed mall on the pier and a great place to pass the time.

    The Steel Pier is almost as old as the boardwalk itself. Built in the 1800’s, it is still waterside adventure, offering classic rides, delicious food, and a whole lot of fun.
